Copyright Policy

The Arabian Journal of Business and Management Review (Kuwait Chapter) follows an open-access policy to ensure broad dissemination of research.

  1. Author Copyright Retention

    • The authors retain copyright for all published articles in AJBMR.
    • Articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, allowing free access, sharing, adaptation, and commercial use, provided proper attribution is given.
    • This licensing ensures maximum visibility and reuse of research while protecting the authors’ rights.

  2. Special Licensing Exceptions

    • In exceptional cases, if an author's funding agency requires a different license, the author must inform the AJBMR Managing Editorial Team at the time of submission.
    • Such requests will be reviewed, and exceptions may be granted at the publisher’s discretion.

Reproducing Published Material from Other Sources

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material (figures, tables, or text excerpts) that does not fall into the public domain or for which they do not hold copyright.

Permission is required for:

  1. Your own previously published works (if the copyright was transferred to another publisher).
  2. Substantial extracts from other sources.
  3. Unaltered or slightly modified tables, graphs, charts, schemes, or artworks.
  4. Photographs where copyright is held by another entity.

Permission is NOT required for:

  1. Reconstructed tables using publicly available data (with appropriate citation).
  2. Short quotes that qualify as fair use (with citation).
  3. Graphs, charts, and artworks that have been significantly redrawn or modified beyond recognition.

How to Obtain Permission:

  • Authors should request permission from the original copyright holder as early as possible to avoid publication delays.
  • If permission is granted, authors must follow the copyright holder’s attribution guidelines.
  • If no specific format is provided, authors should include the acknowledgement:
    • “Reproduced with permission from [Author], [Book/Journal Title]; Published by [Publisher], [Year].”

Website and Content Copyright

  • All materials published on the website (text, images, videos, audio, code, and multimedia content) are owned by the Arabian Journal of Business and Management Review (Kuwait Chapter), ZARSMI, and its licensors.
  • Unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of website content without explicit permission is prohibited.
