Arabian Journal of Business and Management Review (Kuwait Chapter) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed, bi-annual journal aiming at theories, methods, and applications in accounting, finance, economics, etc. It is an international scientific journal that focuses on the advancement of innovative scientific research. Please follow the author's style guide for the formatting.
Language
All manuscripts should be in the English language.
Size and style
Matters of all types should be typed in Times New Roman (08-points medium). However, all headings should be bold, with main headings in UPPER CASE, while sub-headings in Lower case and left-justified.
Submission of articles
The articles should be typed in accordance with the instructions. These should preferably be typed in Microsoft Word. Running titles should be inserted to print on the top of the page in the following manner:
First page: No running title, only page number in the bottom left, 0.25” away from the bottom line of the page.
Odd page: Page no. left-justified, Author (s) name right-justified.
Even page: Article’s caption, left-justified Page no. right justified.
Submission
To reduce delays, authors should ensure that the level, length, and format of a manuscript submission conform to the Kuwait Chapter of AJBMR requirements at the submission and each revision stage. Submitted articles should have a summary/abstract, separate from the main text, of up to 300 words. This summary does not include references, numbers, abbreviations, or measurements unless essential. The summary should provide a basic-level introduction to the field; a brief account of the background and principle of the work; a statement of the main conclusions; and 2-3 sentences that place the main findings into a general context. The text may contain a few short subheadings of no more than 40 characters each. The paper should be submitted using the online submission portal on the following link: Submit paper.
Abstract
Each paper is required to contain an abstract, which should be descriptive and should not exceed 300 words. It should indicate all the main results in the paper.
Paper
Each section and formula should be numbered including acknowledgement and references. Footnotes and explanations in parentheses should be avoided as far as possible. In case footnotes are essential, these should be identified by superscript number in the text and typed at the bottom of the page separating it from the main text by a line.
Keywords
Keywords used in the paper are required and should be given following the abstract. Any word in the title of the paper should not be repeated as a keyword. It should contain 6-8 words.
Tables
These should be used at a minimum and designed as simply as possible. We strongly encourage authors to submit tables in .doc format. Tables are to be typed double-spaced throughout, including headings and footnotes. Each table should be on a separate page, numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals, and supplied with a heading and a legend. Tables should be self-explanatory without reference to the text. Preferably, the details of the methods used in the experiments should be described in the legend instead of in the text. The same data should not be presented in both table and graph form or repeated in the text. Cells can be copied from an Excel spreadsheet and pasted into a Word document, but Excel files should not be embedded as objects.
Note: If the submission is in PDF format, the author is requested to retain the same in .doc format in order to aid in the completion of the process successfully.
Figures
The preferred file formats for photographic images are .doc, TIFF and JPEG. If you have created images with separate components on different layers, please send us the Photoshop files. All images must be at or above the intended display size, with the following image resolutions: Line Art 800 dpi, Combination (Line Art + Halftone) 600 dpi, Halftone 300 dpi. See the Image quality specifications chart for details. Image files also must be cropped as close to the actual image as possible. Use Arabic numerals to designate figures and upper-case letters for their parts (Figure 1). Begin each legend with a title and include sufficient description so that the figure is understandable without reading the text of the manuscript. Information given in legends should not be repeated in the text.
Tables and Equations as Graphics
If equations cannot be encoded in MathML, submit them in TIFF or EPS format as discrete files (i.e., a file containing only the data for one equation). Only when tables cannot be encoded as XML/SGML can they be submitted as graphics. If this method is used, the font size in all equations and tables must be consistent and legible throughout all submissions.
Formulae
Standard notations should be used. Symbols like ‘one’ and ‘ell’, ‘kappa’ and ‘kay’, ‘o’ and ‘zero’ etc. should be properly distinguished. In case of confusion, the letter should be described in the margins. Superscripts, subscripts, and sub-subscripts should be in different sizes.
References
References should be listed at the end of the paper serially. No reference should be listed unless cited in the text of the paper. The references should be typed double-spaced and should follow the APA style.
Paper Withdraw Policy
Kuwait Chapter of AJBMR has a smooth review process policy which takes 6-12 weeks minimum to review the paper. Once the review process is completed, the author is notified if the paper gets accepted. Once the paper gets published, the author cannot withdraw the paper. The author can withdraw the paper before the review process is completed. After the review process, if the paper gets accepted, the author has to pay review charges to withdraw the paper, before publication.
