Repository Policy
The Nigerian Journal of Social Development (NGJSD) is a fully Open Access journal, committed to the broad dissemination of scholarly research.
- Self-Archiving & Institutional Repositories
- Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, personal websites, and academic social networks to enhance research visibility.
- Articles published in Nigerian Journal of Social Development (NGJSD) are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, allowing unrestricted sharing and reuse with proper attribution.
- When depositing their work, authors must always provide full citation details and a link to the official published version (DOI/URL).
- Preprint & Postprint (Author’s Accepted Manuscript - AAM) Policy
- Preprints: Authors should not post pre-submission or preprint versions in repositories or public domains before or during the submission process.
- Postprints (AAMs): Authors may deposit the accepted manuscript (AAM) version in a repository immediately after acceptance, provided it includes a link to the final published version.
- Final Published Version (Version of Record - VoR): Authors are permitted to post the PDF version of the final published article in repositories without embargo after publication.
- Attribution & Citation
- Any deposited or shared version must include:
✅ A full citation to the original publication in IJAR.
✅ A link to the final published version (DOI/URL).
✅ The statement: "This article was originally published in the Nigerian Journal of Social Development (NGJSD) and is licensed under CC BY 4.0." - Encouraging Citations & Impact Assessment
