Archiving Policy

The Journal of Policy and Development Studies (JPDS) is committed to long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. As an open-access "green" journal, JPDS allows authors to self-archive their accepted and published papers in personal, institutional, and subject-based repositories without restrictions.

1. Self-Archiving Policy

  • Authors retain full copyright over their work and may deposit:
    • Preprints (Before Peer Review) – Authors may share preprints in repositories before submission to JPDS.
    • Postprints (Author’s Accepted Manuscript - AAM) – Authors may deposit the peer-reviewed, accepted version immediately upon acceptance in institutional or public repositories.
    • Published Version (Version of Record - VoR) – The final published PDF may be freely shared immediately after publication on repositories, libraries, and personal websites.

2. Attribution & Citation Requirements

  • Authors depositing their work in any repository must provide the following information:
    • Full citation details (Author, Title, Journal Name, DOI, Year).
    • A direct link to the published version on the IJAR website.
    • Acknowledgment that "This article was originally published in the Journal of Policy and Development Studies (JPDS) and is licensed under CC BY 4.0."

Digital Archiving & Preservation

To ensure permanent availability of scholarly content, JPDS partners with leading digital preservation services:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PN) – Metadata submission to ensure integration with open-access repositories.

The journal’s metadata is fully compliant with major repository services to enable seamless indexing and archiving by digital crawlers.
