TWENTY YEARS OF BALANCED SCORECARD: QUESTIONS STILL OUTSTANDING

In this article, we will make an inventory of significant research on the Balanced Scorecard. We
note that, twenty years after its conception by Kaplan and Norton, this model of performance
measurement operationalized as a tool of control is still a matter of controversy and raises many
questions in academic research.
